Substance Abuse
An article entitled, Evidence Based Assessments in a Culturally Diverse World: Lessons Learned from the GAIN Cultural Sensitivity Summit was recently published in a journal for addiction professionals. This article considers how cultural competency is shaped by evidence- based practices and vice versa.

In the NAMI publication, Evidence Based Practices and Multicultural Mental Health, the authors briefly review the basics of EBPs, the history of EBP development, and EBP development as it relates to treatment of multicultural populations.
