The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is offering a free online learning series, Peer Navigators Support People with Serious Mental Illness.  Peer navigators are individuals with lived experience who assist those with serious mental illness meet their health care needs by arranging appointments, coordinating support services, or providing transportation.

Session 1, Health Disparities of People from Latino and African American Communities Living With Serious Mental Illness, aired on March 1.  However, session 2, Principles and Practices of Peer Navigators, and session 3, Implementation of Peer Navigator Programs, will be offered on March 8 and March 15 respectively (both from 12:30-1:30 pm).
